dbx has introduced the DriveRack 260 and a series of DriveRack controllers. The DriveRack 260, which continues the legacy of DriveRack series, is designed to provide state-of-the-art signal processing, while utilizing a simple and intuitive user interface. This goal has been achieved, say dbx, by offering two independent channels of processing power with a linkable 28-band graphic equalizer, industry-standard dbx stereo compressor module, feedback eliminator and the 120A Subharmonic Synthesizer on the input, with a six-channel output system that includes parametric EQs, PeakStopPlus limiters (to provide protection against speaker blowouts) and alignment delay. These features, combined with the Wizard setup system and complete DriveWare GUI control, represent a methodical design that is guaranteed to deliver optimal, all-inclusive processing in a completely scalable system.

The Zone Controllers offer extended utility to the DriveRack family. Based on the same design philosophy as the other products in the dbx line-up, the Zone Controllers offer additional control to installations featuring the DriveRack 260. The five Zone Controllers use analogue DC voltages to provide logic control ranging from volume and mute control, to Contact Closure Program selection. Wired with readily available and affordable Cat 5 cable with universally accepted RJ-45 connectors, the ZC Zone Controllers offer simple yet elegant solutions to the contractor.

The ZC-1 offers remote programmable volume control to any installation using the DriveRack 260. The ZC -2 provides programmable volume and mute control. Both the ZC-1 and ZC-2 can be programmed for up to six outputs of the DriveRack 260. The ZC-3 allows program selection on the 260. The ZC-4 also offers program selection via contact closure inputs for room combining applications. Up to six Zone Controllers can be used with a single DriveRack 260, and can either be wired in series or parallel. The ZC-BOB was created to accommodate ‘home-run’ or parallel wiring to the unit.
