The DVD-2800 MK2 upgrades the current DVD-2800. The new Silicon Image DVDO PureProgressive SiI504 decoding engine yields even greater picture fidelity than the original. High-quality picture playback and optimum processing for film, video, graphics and mixed-mode content is ensured by a high-accuracy 12-bit, 108-MHz video D/A converter; the Denon Super Sub Alias Filter; Noise Shaped Video (NSV) circuits and other state-of-the-art video features. The 2800 MK2's 24-bit, 96kHz multi-bit Sigma Delta D/A converter offers high-quality sound and superior dynamic range, plus an improved S/N ratio. In addition, the output stage uses a differential circuit and specially selected capacitors for improved sound. HDCD decoding significantly improves CD replay.
Finally, the DVD-3800 offers many of Denon's highest performance features at a competitive price. Denon has addressed DVD-Audio's Achilles heel, with full bass management and inbuilt digital decoders, making this an ideal upgrade machine for those with older non-DTS 5.1 AV receivers. For highest-quality video, the Denon DVD-3800 uses two of the most advanced 12bit 108MHz video DACs, with NSV and Silicon Image's SiI504 PureProgressive Scan. It also features 64 Mb of external SDRAM, plus the Denon Super Sub-Alias filter and four times oversampling on both the Progressive and Interlace outputs.
