PLASA 2001 will be the first viewing of XTA’s remote control software for the company’s Seriously Intelligent Digital Dynamics unit - SiDD. Designed for ease-of-use and downloadable from the XTA website (www.xta.co.uk), the software will permit full control of up to 32 units (64 SiDD channels) for all EQ, compression, noise gate/expansion, limiting and dynamic EQ functions of SiDD. Having all these on a single screen gives any engineer fast access to all parameters and instant visual response. Remote interface via MIDI, RS232 (cable runs up to 25m) or RS485 (up to 1km) allows connection and control from any PC running Microsoft Windows 95 or later. Innovative ‘bouncing ball’ metering enables instant set-up, and can be toggled with traditional VU meter mode for clear indication of dynamics/gain control and comprehensive 'Showtime' monitoring. The latest version of XTA’s proven Audiocore control software is also now available, and enables both SiDD and DP Series processors to be connected on a single network and controlled from a solo PC or laptop. With a wireless PC communication link, dynamics (SiDD) and loudspeakers (DP Series) can now be fully controlled from any part of a venue, not just a single mixing/control position, for complete flexibility.

XTA Electronics can be found on stand T32.http://www.xta.co.uk
