Clay Paky's demo room at LDI 2010
USA/Italy - Clay Paky has reported its most successful LDI in 23 years of exhibiting at the international showtech event . The show also confirmed Clay Paky's reputation for innovation with a win for its latest beam light Sharpy in the category Best Debuting Product.

The Sharpy, just one of several new products launched in the US, impressed both judges and visitors with its parallel, zero-degree beam of light. The breakthrough concept produces a massive, stadium-sized beam from a miniature package weighing just 16kg.

Francesco Romagnoli, US manager for Clay Paky said, "I can't recall a better show in all the years we've exhibited here. There was huge excitement surrounding all our products - Sharpy and Shotlight Wash were the real stars of the floor. We welcomed several senior names onto our stand and they were visibly excited by both the Sharpy and the Shotlight."

Pio Nahum, commercial director, added, "There's no doubt 2011 will be a significant year for Clay Paky in the US. Our new products have struck a chord with some of the most influential designers in the business. Customers are already placing orders and designers are preparing to spec them in their upcoming projects."

LDI also saw the US debut of Clay Paky's Shotlight Wash which is based on the familiar Alpha Wash 1500 and incorporates two semi-circular Xenon strobe lamps fitted around the fixture's front lens.

Another newcomer, the Alpha Profile 700, received plaudits from the industry. The Alpha Profile 700 won a special commendation from PLASA for successfully miniaturizing its technology, allowing "designers to be more creative on a smaller scale".
