The venue is a prime location for meetings and events
Ireland - Croke Park in Dublin has been at the heart of Irish sporting life for over 100 years. Boasting a capacity of more than 82,000 people, the stadium is home to the Gaelic Games and the headquarters of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The venue is also a prime location for meetings and events, so when its flagship Hogan Suite recently underwent refurbishment, Doughty Engineering was called upon by Cine Electric to supply all the new facility panels.

David McKeown, project manager at Cine Electric explained: "This is an extremely prestigious job for us - Croke Park isn't just a stadium, it's Ireland's national stadium and is held in very high regard both by those of us who live here and visitors from around the world. We were initially brought on board by the electrical contractor, CJ Ryder Lawlor, to facilitate all the specialist infrastructure, LED lighting and rigging. From day one we got Doughty involved, placing an order for 48 custom made facility panels and despite the tight six-week deadline, we knew they would deliver exactly what we were looking for and within the time frame."

David liaised with both the Doughty export team and Dan Phillips, Doughty's project sales co-ordinator, to reach a design that would work for the venue. With years of experience in facility panel manufacture, Doughty prides itself on fabricating panels to exact specifications. Dan said: "We have built a varied range of styles for some of the country's top installers and it's always a pleasure to work with Cine Electric - we have reached that point in our professional relationship where we understand each other and a few emails, phone chats and drawings are all it takes to come up with a product and solution that ticks the right boxes."

David continued, "Doughty and Cine Electric have a long standing relationship, based not just on the exceptional quality of their products but also on the level of service and professionalism of everyone within the organisation. From the minute you pick up the phone to enquire about a product, right through to delivery and beyond, customer support is exemplary and makes my life as a project manager so much easier."
