UK - JHS and HK Audio will unveil the Lucas Nano 300 and the new Linear 5 Line at PLASA Focus: Leeds.

"The Lucas Nano 300's ultra-compact subwoofer and two fist-sized satellites are sure to astonish and amaze with an audio experience to rival that of far larger systems," says the company. The subwoofer houses the electronics and a versatile three-channel mixing console so that the Lucas Nano 300 is ready for immediate use without any additional equipment.

"The two satellites lock into a transport bay on the subwoofer with a simple twist of the wrist. And thanks to its very comfortable grips, the entire system is easily carried in just one hand."

A highly portable sound reinforcement solution for a multitude of different applications restricted only by the limits of users' imaginations, the classic setup with stereo satellites is easily reconfigured as a mono system for environments requiring higher sound pressure and greater range.

Lucas Nano 300 will be available for purchase in May 2012.

Along with the Nano, HK Audio has rolled out a new series of high-performance speaker cabinets. Called Linear 5, this versatile line is sure to delight ambitious musicians and DJs as well as discriminating hire companies, says the company. "In the 1" class these enclosures produce matchless sound pressure levels. The birch housing not only boasts excellent acoustics, it is also exceptionally durable, tough enough to withstand the daily rigors of the road."

There are presently five powered models available:

L5 112 FA - a 12"/1" full-range top with a switchable EQ that can be deployed as a stand-alone cabinet, in stereo pairs and as a satellite paired with a Linear 5 subwoofer;

L5 112 XA - engineered to deliver high sound pressure levels (135 dB MAX SPL peak), this 12"/1" model also sports a switchable filter and a rotatable 60? x 40? CD horn;

L5 115 FA - a full range top that delivers 1,000 watts as a stand-alone cabinet and features an asymmetrical horn with an optimized coverage pattern that is wider up front and grows more directed with distance, thereby achieving greater range;

L Sub 2000 A - a 1,200-watt powered subwoofer in a bandpass housing (sixth-order double bandpass), this unit features a 2.5" voice coil with advanced cooling technology and a dual spider suspension that keeps it perfectly centered for ultra-precise tracking;

L Sub 1200 A - a compact, light and housed in a bass reflex enclosure, this sub is ideal for band PAs. Loaded with two 10" woofers and a remarkably effective 1,200 watt, Class-D power amp, it can also drive a connected passive L5 210 Sub.

Linear 5 will be available in the UK from mid-April 2012 with passive counterparts to follow in May.
