Alan Wallace and Steve Reynolds promoted at Showsec
UK - Showsec has completed the first phases of its operational management restructure, to take effect from 1 April 2010.

The new-look management team will focus on continued operational and customer service improvements as part of strategic business development. This significant restructure sees two key members of staff promoted with widened responsibilities supported by a number of area managers taking on new roles, says the company.

Alan Wallace, who has worked with Showsec for 15 years, has been appointed regional manager in the North. Wallace was one of the first Showsec managers to complete a Foundation Degree in crowd management, and will draw on his extensive experience as Manchester area manager in his new role.

Steve Reynolds, formerly a project manager, takes up the position of southern regional manager. Having worked at Showsec for over 10 years after graduating from Sheffield Hallam University, he is well equipped to take on the challenges that this new role will present.

In conjunction with these two key promotions, a number of senior operations executives have been promoted to area managers. These new managers include Tracey McCarthy on the South Coast, Robbie Jarvis in Liverpool, Ieuan Fury in Wales and South West, Mark Wilcox in Manchester and Tony Hume in Newcastle.

Richard Church has been awarded an extended operational management role across the Midlands, taking up the challenge of a wider geographical area and increased client portfolio, reflecting his continued progressive role within the company. In addition to these changes, Paul Legge will continue to run the London area and Julian Kumah continues in his role as area manager for Leeds and Sheffield.

Showsec managing director Mark Harding says, "This restructure will result in a fresh focus and the delivery of enhanced local service and products across all areas of the UK. Each team member brings a combination of experience and new skills, the benefits of which will pass directly on to the clients. This resource allows extended capacity for client liaison, and fits well with both the company expansion plan and individual career opportunities for our operational staff."
