UK - Stufish Entertainment Architects supply the creation, design and delivery of many shows and events in the entertainment industry. Their work expands across the globe, with recent clients including The Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Queen and One Direction. This year they have teamed up with the National Centre for Circus Arts in the creation of a new show concept, SOHO. With its strong reputation in theatre, along with nurturing young artists, WL was called upon to provide the technical equipment support for the production.

The show follows one character's journey as they spend an evening wandering the streets of London's West End. Chris Hynes, Stufish's creative producer, comments, "With this show, we wanted to celebrate the diversity and excitement that is Soho. So much goes on in what is a relatively small part of the capital so it's fascinating to be able to explore this in depth; whether it's China Town, the coffee bars or the night life. Soho is not just a place, it's a state of mind."

The show is a collaboration with the second year students of the National Centre for Circus Arts. It was conceived and directed by Abigail Yeates and featured a lighting design by Richard Godin. Chris states, "This is the students' ensemble show and essentially the culmination of two years' worth of study. These are the next generation of circus and theatre practitioners so we've invited along a series of industry contacts to ensure that their work is seen by as many influential figures as possible."

He adds: "With so many important guests in attendance, we wanted the show to have the highest quality production values possible. Therefore we approached WL".

As part of the show, WL is supplying all of the technical equipment. This includes Martin Aura XBs, MAC Viper Performances, Chroma-Q Color Force 72 LED Battens, Unique 2.1 Haze Machines, ETC Source Fours and Robert Juliet Cin'k 5K Fresnels. In terms of audio equipment, WL is providing EM Acoustics EMS-121X loudspeakers, speaker stands and audio cable. The company is also supplying a Unique 2.1 Haze Machine and a Christie 30K Projector.

Chris states, "WL is literally supplying all of the equipment on the show - something we are extremely grateful for. They have come on board and helped make SOHO the best it can possibly be. Not only will it make for an unforgettable evening but ensure that the students have their work seen with the strongest production support possible."

SOHO is just one of several student showcases that WL will be supporting this year. The company is also one of the sponsors of the Creative & Cultural Skills organisation, with managing director Bryan Raven being the chair of Skillscene.

Bryan comments, "It's fantastic that we are in a position to support shows such as SOHO. Regardless of a production's size or purpose, it should receive the very best technical support possible - something that WL is dedicated to providing. A lot of the performers in SOHO and similar showcases feature the performers of tomorrow and we want to be in a position to support them throughout their entire careers."
