Europe - ETC has introduced the High End Systems Talen, an automated luminaire that ‘adds visual excitement and big looks to any show with its punchy, rig-defining aerials’.
The fixture’s high-intensity beams are created with full additive color RGBW emitters and a large front aperture, resulting in an extremely narrow 3° beam with high center beam candlepower. Talen’s footprint is small enough to fit anywhere in a lighting rig, and it can also be rigged in creative hanging positions. Fixtures can be easily configured and addressed through ETC’s Set Light App.

UK - Adlib’s rental inventory of new flagship Martin fixtures, including the MAC Ultra Wash and MAC Aura PXL, made an instant impression across a wide range of live events throughout the UK.
At one of these events, experienced lighting designer Liam Tully looked after the front of the house for Adlib at TRNSMT.
“We used 26 MAC Aura PXLs as washes, plus 22 MAC Ultra Washes on the front and side trusses.” explains Tully. “Out of all the bands and headliners that came through - and we had the likes of Liam Gallagher, The Courteeners, Chemical Brothers and Snow Patrol - everyone came in and said, yeah, that’s perfect, that’s the kind of rig we want.”

Finland - Rock star Lauri Tähkä is on a tour of his home county’s biggest venues with a set design featuring visuals driven by Hippotizer Montane+ Media Servers.
The chart-topping musician is wowing crowds at venues including Helsinki’s Bolt Arena, Seinäjoki OmaSp Stadium and the Nokia Arena in the city of Tampere.
Finnish design studio Visual45 was challenged with creating a standout show for Lauri Tähkä’s tour, based on the concept of a spiritual, temple experience. Hungary - A Robe moving light rig comprising more than 350 fixtures was recently specified for the new 20,000-capacity MVM Dome in Budapest. The sports facility is Europe’s largest handball arena and will also be used for concerts and entertainment shows.
The Robe fixtures were specified by Visual Europe Group (VEG), the building’s technical management and services specialists, working in close consultation with Budapest-based AVL Trade which supplied the luminaires. The first event staged in the venue was the 2022 European Men’s Handball Championship Final, won by Sweden.

USA - The transformative atmosphere of the almost century-old Tampa Theatre was never lost on designer Peter L. Spadaro III when he lit shows there. So, when he was called on recently to light a show for singer/songwriter Citizen Cope at the theatre, he was determined to weave its distinctive Renaissance revival style architecture, complete with statutes and gargoyles, into his design.
“I always believe in extending my design out into the environment rather than limiting myself to just the stage,” comments Spadaro. “Tampa Theatre is a gorgeous historic site built in the 1920s. The architecture inside is truly stunning, and it definitely influenced my work. I was really trying to get the audience and the facade of the theatre fully engulfed in light when I could.”

USA - Bandit Lites has promoted Scott Wesson to facility foreman where he will oversee integral day to day functions including de-prep of all incoming equipment as well as maintaining the organisation of hardware, cable, truss, and road cases. He will also coordinate with Bandit’s project managers to assist with preps, hardware and truss needs.
Wesson came aboard at Bandit in 2014 where he toured as a lighting tech with artists including Rascal Flatts and Jason Aldean. He also provided extensive support for multiple festivals ranging from Bonnaroo, Firefly, and Electric Forest to Lollapalooza.
“Having been a touring technician for many years, Scott has a detailed understanding of how the Bandit machine works as well as ideas on how to be even more efficient,” reflects Bandit Lites’ director of technical services, Jake Tickle.

Based at the company’s Plailly campus northeast of Paris, the Nexo engineering support team supports production services providers, integrators and consultants with system designs and commissioning for live events and fixed installations. Hannotin will focus on delivering similar technical support for the group's AFC immersive sound solutions, from project design through to system calibration.
Drawing on 20 years of experience as a trainer at France’s Institut national de l'audiovisuel (INA), Hannotin will also bring her commitment and know-how to the partnerships implemented by Nexo and its parent company, Yamaha Corporation, with leading universities and to the group’s Audioversity training programme.
