USA - Funktion-One rental partner Nomad Sound Systems installed the largest ever deployment of Vero and Vero VX for Creator Clash 2.0 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
The celebrity influencer boxing event welcomed 30,000 spectators to the arena and thousands more viewers around the world who tuned in for the PPV broadcast, with the winners’ prize money going to their chosen charities.
Creator Clash’s producers selected Nomad Sound System as the audio supplier, explained company founder Leo Eckersdorff: “A friend of mine based in New York reached out as he was the producer of this event and wanted to have an audio partner local to Florida that he could trust. France - The D-Day Museum at Arromanches-les-Bains on the Northern French coast has chosen Panasonic projectors to illustrate the activity before, during, and after the historic Normandy landings, bringing the events of 1944 to life like never before through multiple immersive and interactive experiences.
The newly re-built museum, working alongside AV integrator Auvisys, needed innovative, quiet and reliable projectors to bring the events of 1944 to life in four key areas of the exhibition. This included an auditorium, video mural, projection mapping and virtual reality projections. UK - Based in Cardiff’s landmark Wales Millennium Centre, Welsh National Opera (WNO) is one of the most prolific operatic ensembles in the UK, with a national and international touring schedule that consists of an average of 120 performances per year. In need of a new in-house communication system, WNO recently invested in a full Riedel Bolero digital wireless intercom system, specified by Autograph Sound.
“We spend around five to seven weeks, twice a year, at our home in the Millennium Centre, producing our operas. South Africa - DWR Distribution has announced Patrick Manicom as the new workshop assistant in Cape Town.
Patrick was introduced to the entertainment industry by his sister, Jade Manicom, a lighting designer. “I first learnt about DWR in 2020 via my sister before she joined the company,” Patrick comments. “She arranged for me to visit their workshop for a week, and that’s where I discovered that I wanted to work with my hands. DWR was happy to have me tinker around and assist with repairs while teaching me about the different equipment. Everyone was so welcoming from the workshop team all the way to the CEOs, and I seemed to have made an impression too as Bruce Riley remembers me from just that week.”
