- Details
These hoists are available to higher safety standards- all of these standards allow some form of load positioning and holding without secondary suspension to support the load.
The quietness and low visibility (including black chain) make these hoists ideal for venue use, and the ruggedness make them ideal for production applications, says the company.
LTM will also be showing the range of Guardian Controllers and a wide range of its other lifting products including a new load sensing system for entertainment applications.
LTM will be in its usual spot in Hall 1 Stand C36. They will have the usual LTM hospitality including 3 new beers a
Seven of the fixtures - specially developed by Italian manufacturer Novalight for the tour and now in full production - are positioned around the stadiums in the audience bleachers, pointing back at the stage.
Say's PRG's group asset director Paul Weaver, "They are an incredibly powerful effect, even contending with all the other lighting and LED screens, we're really impressed with their effect". He also reports that they are withstanding the rigours of touring extremely well.
The fixtures were sold to PRG, U2's main lighting contractors, by Lightfactor Sales, Novalight's exclusive UK distributor.
Ahead of the tour, Williams initially examined the original 1.2K Nova Flowers among other

The three day festival in Holland brought together 55,000 people to enjoy the festival experience with music from the likes of Arctic Monkeys, The Prodigy, Kaiser Chiefs and Snoop Dogg.
This year, Mojo Barriers' Gatekeeper was used for the first time at the festival as part of the entry and exit system for the main stage front audience pens. The Gatekeeper's turnstile system counted the number of people entering and leaving the enclosed pens immediately in front of the stage throughout the day to ensure the
AXYS G2 Loudspeakers have been designed with the theatre, places of worship, corporate and live music industries in mind. The full range models have active three-way designs which offer a smooth extended high frequency response. The result is a big 'hi-fi' sound which is achieved without compromising the power or dispersion characteristics required of a product in this class, says the company.
All AXYS G2 Series loudspeakers are self powered with built-in DSP and include eight presets, switchable under software control, over an RS485 network or directly from the rear panel of the loudspeaker.

The company will launch six new products for the television studio market. Heading the list is the ALC4 LED Cyclorama fixture, billed as "the first of its kind in the world". With four advanced 40W Philips Lexel RGB+White LED light sources, one ALC4 can deliver the equivalent of 1250W of halogen power for an actual power consumption of just 160W, says the company.
The cool-running DMX-controlled ALC4 - which can be floor mounted or hung - provides over 1m shades of colour, including pure yellow and soft ambers, and for extra ease of use provides seven pre-set white light options from 2,700°K to 6,700°K. A precision optical design ensures smooth, homogenous, even light output with no coloured
The ROBIN 300 Plasma Spot - the first of the plasma lamp based fixtures from Robe - offers a colour rendering index (CRI) of 94, an extremely flat and even light beam (1.3 : 1) and a lifespan of 10,000 hours, say Robe. The new plasma lamp source offers an electronic dimming capacity from 100 - 20% and a semi-hot restrike function (of less than 120th of a second for full lamp brightness to return after shutting off). Hall Stage is pleased to announce the arrival of IAStage's new product line -Truss-Mounted Wire Tension Grid systems.
This innovative system is a modified, near standard lighting grid consisting of truss and SkyDeck TWG panels. The standard grid is actually transformed into a flexible working platform that provides access to lighting and sound equipment as well as a perfect floor for riggers to work from, complete with handrails and safety gates.
SkyDeck panels are modular which makes them ideal for touring shows, as the panels are easily adaptable to fit any type of truss system. Focusing a show will be more efficient and trouble free since the electrician can simply walk across the whole rig, says
There will be more for visitors to see, too, as a further 10 new exhibitors have signed up for the show at Earls Court on September 13-16, bringing the total of new and returning exhibitors to 50. The LedCyc9*RGBW LED-panel is a powerful, modular backlight system for rear projection on cycloramas and useful effect lighting system. It creates a completely even and flicker free field of light. The panel was developed for use in the theatre, entertainment and Film/TV market.
Each panel integrates nine symmetric high power RGBW LED pixels, each capable of producing any colour temperature across the entire spectrum of visible light. Special diffuser caps (additional accessory) in front of each pixel enable a new dimension in set design, says the company.
Each pixel can be controlled by DMX512, ArtNet* or EcuNet. Different settings like panel mode, start address, PWM (pulse wide modulation) and other functions can be set via remote control.

At the exhibition, Cornered will show a new version of the existing Cornered top-boxes. The SU - Speak-Up - versions combine Speaker and Uplight in one practical solution. The SU versions feature an LED spot in either the top and/or bottom plates delivering up- and/or downlight. The LED uplight works well with the flush mountable Cornered cabinets, so the SU versions gives customers an opportunity of getting ambient light without installing separate lighting fixtures, says the company.
Different LED sports are available, starting with a 1,2watt/40 lumens LED which is connected through a DC plug integrated in the recessed speaker cable terminal.
