Switzerland - The Laserworld Diode Series is a well-established laser product which has become more and more popular. Especially for users that want to make the step from hobbyist laser use to a semi-pro level, the series offers a pure diode system with many professional features, but at a low price level.

Following the success of the already established DS-900RGB, DS-1800RGB and DS-3300RGB, Laserworld has added the new DS-2400RGB to the product line. This product is designed to fill the gap in available power levels between the 1.8W and 3.3W systems. It was also designed to provide a great white balanced output. The power range between 2W and 3W has become increasingly in demand, as the prices for such systems have dropped substantially in recent years.

With the DS-2400RGB, Laserworld has completed the Diode Series range. It has all those features in common with the other uni

Denmark - In response to overwhelming demand for the hybrid lighting fixture, Martin Professional has announced increased production for the MAC Viper AirFX. Already a staple on many major tours and in the rental market, the AirFX is one of the most prominent members of the MAC Viper family, one of the most successful product suites in Martin's history.

In order to provide bigger output with a smaller footprint, the AirFX was engineered to replace 1500 W fixtures, which were previously seen in a lot of shows mainly for mid-air effects, with no projection and often with a few simple gobos. Ideal for tours and festivals, the AirFX gives lighting designers everything that makes the MAC Viper family so effective in one versatile fixture.

Lighting designer Rob Sinclair recently deployed the AirFX on the Queen + Adam Lambert tour and Kylie Minogue's Kiss Me Once tour. "For both

This is the first US journey in many years for the group. The set and lighting for this run, designed by long time production designer Harry Bastard, is as unusual and spectacular as ever. FNM are always pushing the edge and this ye

South Africa - The world tour supporting Grammy-winner Chris Brown's latest album X features a power-packed lightshow designed by LD Bryan Hartley, who is widely known for his work with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. As sometimes happens with international tours, however, rigs have to be pared down when the show travels from country to country.

This was the case, recently when the Chris Brown tour made two stops in four days in South Africa. The lightshow nevertheless was able to deliver the bold, powerful statement that Brown's critically acclaimed album deserved, thanks in part to a powerful performance from Legend 230SR Beams from Chauvet Professional.

"The original design had 174 fixtures, but the number of fixtures was reduced slightly due to venue structural weight limitations and availability of outdoor stage structure for the tour," said Sean Crawley, h

Denmark - The RUSH Club Smoke Dual, Martin Professional's new hybrid smoke and haze machine, is now shipping and available from stock.

The Club Smoke Dual is a multi-head system, which utilizes up to six heads across three zones via DMX or an on-board digital display. This feature of the system allows the user to deploy fog, haze, or a combination of both using a specially formulated fluid. The separate base unit, which can be installed in a convenient remote location, contains a 10-liter fluid reservoir, ensuring continuous use throughout busy nights.

The ad, which was shown online and in cinemas, sees four cars race the lights in a stunning video that now has over eight million hits on YouTube.

With the concept created by Barney Steel, director of Marshmallow Laser Feast, Button was brought on board to bring the idea to life.

"I was first contacted by event producer Mark Logue who put me together with Barney," says Button. "We sat down and worked out that the best way to do it would be to use lights rather than hundreds of lasers. It was then I knew the Clay Paky Sharpy would be the ideal tool for the job with its fantastic brightness and pure beam."
