The dynamic power and delicate subtlety of the music was carried throughout the jubilant crowd via a system of 240 Meyer Sound loudspeakers, including the new Panther large-format linear line arrays, provided by Fluge Audiovisuales of Madrid.
“Meyer Sound has always provided us with unbeatable sound quality and uniform coverage,” says Iñigo Giménez, who designed and tuned the system for the concert and was audio crew chief for the tour. “All the different types of loudspeaker systems, including Panther, integrated perfectly.”

USA - The Killers’ FOH engineer Kenny Kaiser and monitor engineer Marty Beath were immediately intrigued by DPA’s new 4055 Kick Drum Mic. Among the first to get their hands on the mic, the duo put it to the test at production rehearsals before heading out on the band’s The Killing the Mirage tour.
After receiving universally positive feedback, the decision was made: DPA’s 4055 Kick Drum Mic was joining The Killers’ touring gear line-up alongside the group’s existing DPA solutions, such as the 4099 Core Instrument Mics, 4011 Cardioid Condenser Mics and d:facto 4018 Vocal Microphone.

The mics came into their own during the rehearsals for the summer season at The Metropolitan Museum where their mounting capabilities ensured the artistic director could instruct dancers in his normal style without needing to worry about micing.
Zaccheo chose Embrace microphones for this project based on McKenzie’s style during rehearsals. “Mr. McKenzie is a hands-on choreographer who will dance with the performers as a way of expressing his thoughts and ideas, as I was advised before the shoot,” explains Zaccheo. “There were discussions

With special guests Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts along for the journey, the trek sold 1.3m tickets, according to Billboard.
It's also significant to point out that the North American tour marked the first time that Def Leppard enjoyed the benefits of KLANG’s immersive in-ear monitor mixing solution, provided via a DMI-KLANG card-equipped DiGiCo Quantum5 monitor console supplied by touring sound company Clair Global. The use of the KLANG system created a more manageable SPL environment onstage that reportedly made the group’s performances more enjoyable than ever while simultaneously helping to protect their hearing.

Italy - On Saturday 24 September, the Italian fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo held its Spring-Summer 2023 show at the Portrait Milan Hotel, a 17th-Century former seminary in the city that has long been the centre of Italian fashion – and, by extension, of world fashion.
The central courtyard of the baroque building was covered with a layer of sand dyed in the same vivid red colour that is now the Ferragamo house colour, and which also filled the arches around the courtyard. The contrast between the classical location and the bright modernity of the clothes on view could not have been sharper.
In the centre of the courtyard, also forming a clear contrast with the building, its red decor and the new fashion collection, stood a circle of GUIL lifters, eight ULK 500 towers holding the speaker system that provided the music as the models walked across the sand.

USA - A combination of pandemic exigencies and shortages means tours often have to be ready to move at a moment’s notice. That was the case for the first week-plus of theatre dates in the Midwest to kick off The Manhattan Transfer's 50th Anniversary & Final World Tour. The Grammy award–winning vocal group was founded in 1969 and has explored a cappella, vocalese, swing, standards, Brazilian jazz, rhythm and blues, pop music, and more in that half-century span.
But as the foursome prepared for the initial dates their 50th Anniversary outing last August and September, circumstances compelled them to hit the road with the barest minimum of tech rehearsal. And when you’ll be traveling with a 24-piece big band - in this case the DIVA Jazz Orchestra who are backing The Manhattan Transfer - it’s quite a balancing act. That’s where the DiGiCo Quantum225 console came in
