The Netherlands - Optocore has chosen More Distribution, its partner in Holland, to host the first in its Fiber Masterclass progressive educational programme, focusing on fibre optics.
Part one of the programme, which will also feature sister company BroaMan, aims at educating young and aspiring professionals and students of media production, event production, sound engineering, broadcast technologies and data networks in every aspect of the technology, its capabilities and behaviour. It will set out the equipment needed to use it, its capabilities and real-life applications, and illustrate how industries other than live sound, broadcast and recording are slowly evolving to embrace fiber optics further down the road.
The initiative is the brainchild of Optocore’s experienced technical sales support specialist, RadhaMohan Rajani, technical support engineer, Marci Sós and marketing coordinator, Kamil Zajdel. Stated Zajdel, “The aim is to reach out to many of our distributors to help with the organisation of this event. Since More Distribution is a progressive and locally-based organisation, with helpful and experienced personnel, it was logical that they should be invited to host the first presentation.”
Zajdel and Rajani worked closely with More Distribution’s sales & marketing manager, Marc Perera, on the presentation, which will take place at SAE Amsterdam on 18 April.
Stated Perera, “We are very pleased, to be a vital part of the Optocore and BroaMan educational programme. This masterclass is aimed at AV students, who will soon become the ‘next generation’ technicians. We feel that sharing knowledge keeps students motivated to really push the boundaries of technology.”
The event is by invitation only, and while the event will be a generic presentation about fiber infrastructures, Optocore will support the event with a demonstration of several key products including the Festival Box.
