USA - Barco provided the ultra-bright projection technology for Fresh Air Flicks to create an astonishing illusion depicting the future of automobile travel via the BMW i: A Window Into the Near Future campaign. By turning a street-level window of the MetLife building across from Bryant Park in New York into a digital reflection which morphed passing traffic into BMW's new all-electric i3 and plug-in hybrid i8 concept vehicles, event producers gave passersby a glimpse of the future of automobile transportation.

From the outset, the biggest challenge that New York-based video display integrator Fresh Air Flicks faced was the need to project moving images on a giant window in direct sunlight. After extensive testing, producers discovered that 3M Corporation's Vikuiti window f

USA - Grammy award winning vocal group Little Big Town is on the road with Bandit Lites for The Tornado Tour. Comprised of Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook and Phillip Sweet, the country music group has been unstoppable, with their first platinum single Pontoon racking up accolades, including the CMA Award for Single of the Year and the Grammy award for Best Country Duo/Group performance.

While the name of the tour and album inspired the set design, lighting designer Chris Shrom worked with production manager Chris Diener on the production details during Rascal Flatts' Changed tour that they wanted to bring to Little Big Town's show.

UK - Lyon Equipment, UK distributors for Petzl products is promoting the new Avao harness range, and Pixa headtorches.

Petzl's latest Avao harnesses have been designed alongside industry professionals to achieve two objectives: maximum comfort and maximum fall protection.

The X-shaped dorsal construction with wide, semi-rigid waistbelt and leg loops reduces pressure points during prolonged suspension in work situations, while the shoulder straps are widely spaced to avoid neck chafing. The waistbelt and leg loops are lined with perforated foam for comfort and ventilation.

The semi-rigid, pre-shaped construction makes the harness easy to put on. There's plenty of adjustment using self-locking DoubleBack buckles, and once you've achieved your optimum set-up the optional FAST automatic leg loop buckles mean you can gear up quickly.

Korea - A pavilion of cathedral like proportions; a vast ceiling of moving colour and imagery; the deep blues and greens of the deep ocean, so real you can almost feel them wash over you; the majestic progress of the noblest creatures of the sea swimming high above you. What's the missing element?

It has to be sound; the echoing, womb like sound of whale song enveloping the visitor, drawing their eyes up to absorb the vision high above them and so to complete the experience. And not just any sound; sound designers Charles de Meaux, content artist and Thierry Coduys, technical 3D sound implementation wanted to create a seamless 3D sonic feeling throughout the Expo Digital Gallery Pavilion at the 2012 World Expo located at Yeosu, South Korea.
