The atrium is also lit blue and mauve to compliment the centre piece, and hung with a star
UK - Those walking down Store Street in the forthcoming weeks are in for a visual treat. Every year, Imagination demonstrates the agency's creativity and flare by transforming the building's imposing edifice into a tribute to the festive season.

This year, the lighting team looked to the past for inspiration, choosing to create a giant wreath complete with blue ribbon. The classic design is made from a large circular truss packed with real trees adorned with more than 3000 tungsten lights. Behind the design, the red brick Imagination building is lit a deep magenta colour, proving a warm background glow which complements the elegant motif.

Unlike many of the lighting displays that appear at this time of year, Imagination's efforts are always privately funded and created using lights already existing in Imagination's stores. This allows Imagination's lights to be a true manifestation of the company's character and creativity, unrestrained by the demands of corporate sponsorship, says the company.

The festive flare continues in Imagination's atrium, where visitors are met with a spectacular five story tree, complete with snow and bedecked with over 8000 dazzling blue LED lights.

Jonny Milmer, lighting designer on the project, shares his thoughts on the design. "Imagination wanted to create something that was bold without being too brash or tacky. There seems to be a prevailing mood of nostalgia this year. The wreath motif works with this, evoking memories of more certain times through referencing Christmases past."
