UK - In what looked to be one of the busiest ABTT shows to date, ETC staff were on hand to show visitors their most advanced lighting systems, as well as updates to the Source Four LED range.

ETC's new Cobalt desks have been impressing lighting designers and board operators with their quick and efficient operating style since they were launched at PLASA 2013. There are now two desks in the range: Cobalt 20 and Cobalt 10. Each has the same power, but the smaller Cobalt 10 has a reduced footprint, allowing it to fit into smaller venues.

The Source Four LED Series 2 Lustr fixture updates the hugely successful Source Four LED line. The addition of lime green emitters fills in gaps in the colour spectrum, creating the most effective LED light source yet. Puerto Rico - Calle 13 is one of Latin America's most successful bands, having won 19 Latin Grammy Awards and two US Grammy Awards. Frequently controversial and with an eclectic musical style, Calle 13 has a devoted following and its current tour, which travels to South, Central and North America, as well as Europe and Asia, is filling stadiums, arenas and theatres everywhere it goes. Two DiGiCo SD8-24s are along for the ride.

Front of House engineer Luis Irizzary first worked with the band back in 2007 and 2008, and having returned to the Calle 13 fold in 2012, he has been working with the band since. His reasons for using the SD8-24 are two-fold: the channel count, "I use 58 mic inputs on 52 channels at Front of House, but the console is still not maxed out," he says; and its compact size.

"The Front of House and monitor console share one rack," Luis expl

Close friend Stephanie Dell of Sound Marketing told LSi: "He loved his work and spoke warmly of the great friends he had made in our industry. His dry-witted story-telling was legendary - his observations were funny and sharp but always affectionately delivered. Nunners was an incredibly popular guy. In the ten years I knew him, I never heard a bad word said about him. He loved nothing better than to be with his people, at home and at work. First and foremost Paul was a family man who absolutely adored his wife Karen and children Alex and Cara. Paul approached his illness from the outset with e
