Mobile Promotions co-ordinates royal opening

Event management specialist, Mobile Promotions, worked closely with the Bedfordshire County Council to manage the event production of the prestigious royal occasion. The event saw Her Majesty The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh officially open the award-winning independent living development, in attendance were 50 VIPs and over 100 residents and colleagues from Dunstable County Council involved in the build and running of Priory View.
Careful consideration had to be given to each event space, sound and security procedures throughout the building. Constructed out of glass panelling and based in a busy city centre location, Mobile Promotions ensured the building remained visually secure throughout the royal visit by supplying and installing bespoke screening to ensure nobody could see into the building, whilst not compromising the view by guests to the exterior gardens and scenery. Sound proof screens were provided to ensure that ambient sound was kept to a minimum, and the visual impact was highlighted with stunning floral displays.
A premium service for Priory View residents’ vehicles was enjoyed by all, the company coordinating removal offsite, also a security factor, and returning each after the event following a complimentary ‘wash and brush up’. Additionally, all VIP guests were chauffeur driven from a designated parking zone to and from the venue in appointed mini-coaches.
Project managers Torie Simpson and Gordon Freshwater supported the overall managing roles ensuring the royal guests’ journey throughout the venue was seamless, while ensuring attendees had the opportunity to be seen as integral cogs in the home’s working operations team. Mobile Promotions was chosen to oversee event planning and management due to their reputation for delivering high-quality high pressure events, having extensive experience with such VIPs and demonstrating a strong set of eyes for detail.
