Taiwan - 1 Sound, an American-made premium loudspeaker brand, celebrated its launch in Taiwan with a demo event, organised by official distributor Seapower Technology. Held at the New Taipei City Government’s conference room, a mid-sized theatre with tiered seating for about 330 people, the venue offered a perfect space to showcase the impressive capabilities of a whole range of 1 Sound speakers. The demo presentations were given by 1 Sound’s APAC sales executive, Leonardo Dani and Seapower Technology CEO, Douglas Chang.
“The audience consisted of mostly systems integrators who had nothing but positive things to say. 1 Sound, though a relatively new brand with just two years in the global market, left a strong impression,” explained Chang.
“Taiwan, known as the global hub for high-tech industries with giants like Taiwan Semiconductor Company and MediaTek, represents a market opportunity for 1 Sound,” continued Chang. As a provider of premium, high-quality speakers, 1 Sound has the potential to enhance the audio experience for Taiwan’s leading corporations and various other projects, delivering superior sound quality.
“Attendees new to 1 Sound remarked on the exceptional sound quality and performance of the loudspeakers.” The Contour CT28 and SUB215 system delivered clear and powerful audio throughout the space. They noted that just two 13” wide, 20” tall Contour CT28 speakers could fill the entire 330-seat venue, ensuring clarity all the way to the back, with much room left for more SPL. The Contour CT28 is a compact, three-way passive loudspeaker capable of delivering a maximum SPL of 140 dB. This powerful speaker sounds intimate at lower volumes also great for spoken word or theatrical performance.
“Another attendee was blown away by each of the Cannons in the series, praising the detailed Hi-Fi sound quality that these compact speakers produced, even at high volumes, amazed to think that they are also robust enough to be in the pro audio indoor/outdoor applications,” stated Chang. The event also highlighted 1 Sound's versatility for outdoor events requiring dynamic sound.
