22live will support all Rational Acoustics products, with a particular focus on Smaart measurement and real-time analysis software
UK - 22live, the UK’s next generation pro-audio service provider, has been appointed an international dealer for Rational Acoustics in the UK. The move enhances Rational Acoustics’ presence in the UK, allowing 22live to actively promote and support all Rational Acoustics products and with a particular focus on Smaart measurement and real-time analysis software; largely regarded as the industry standard measurement tool for live events.
22live, upon launch, immediately invested in Smaart as a fundamental part of all of its proprietary drive systems. Simon Gladstone, 22live technical director comments: “22live drive racks use a number of standard components which we deploy alongside every PA system whether it’s d&b audiotechnik or Martin Audio which are our two core loudspeaker brands. We use the MIPRO ACT-800 series wireless system for deployment of analyser microphones. We currently specify the Roland Octa-Capture USB interface and the Outline Newton master processor but choosing Smaart as the standard measurement software package was the easiest choice of all. It simply is unrivalled in the niche it sits in.”
Alex Penn, 22live commercial director adds: “While Rational Acoustics products are supported from their US base, we felt that 22live could really value add to all UK and Irish Smaart users by offering local training and support as well as making Smaart available and accessible with GBP pricing; so we set about starting a conversation that led to 22live now representing the brand for the UK. The fact that we have already been building sales business with MIPRO and DPA also ties in well with Smaart meaning that we can now not only supply the necessary hardware but also the software solution to deliver a professional measurement system.”
The company aims to host frequent training events initially hosted locally to their Midlands based Redditch premises, starting with a two-day Operator Fundamentals class on 5-6 December. Penn comments: “The greatest way to gain understanding of the full feature set of Smaart is to attend a training class and the two-day Operator Fundamentals course is the perfect starting point. Attending a Smaart class also offers attendees the opportunity for a discounted Smaart license. We hope that by running more classes we will give technicians and engineers easier access to develop their own skills, as well as establishing new connections and relationships which will be beneficial to all involved.”
“We are excited about the addition of 22Live to our sales partner network,” says Karen Anderson, Rational Acoustics CEO. “Although 22Live is a relatively young company, the people behind it are an incredible group of seasoned industry veterans, most of whom have been Smaart users for years. They understand our products, they understand the market, and they will be an excellent resource for the UK Smaart user base.”
