Axient Digital delivered solid RF and consistent signal quality throughout the event

USA - The Latin Grammy Awards were back in Miami on 15 November to celebrate the 25th edition of the Latin Music event. Artists, musicians, and producers gathered at the Kaseya Centre to award the most successful hits of the year. Shure Axient Digital Wireless System was selected to ensure quality audio throughout the night.

Axient Digital delivered solid RF and consistent signal quality throughout the event. Engineers and artists relied on 24 channels of Shure PSM 1000 In Ear Monitoring System and 12 channels of the Axient Digital Wireless System. The production also included 18 ADX2 handheld wireless microphone transmitters, four AD2 handheld microphone transmitters and two ADX1 bodypack transmitters.

The show started with the Person of the Year Carlos Vives. Next, Ela Taubert, winner of Mejor Artista Revelación surprised all the attendees singing her popular hit ¿Cómo pasó? with Joe Jonas, both using the iconic Shure SM58 capsule and ADX2 handheld transmitters.

The evening continued with the rhythms of New Urban Sounds, Grupo Frontera, an In Memoriam segment, Darumas and the international stars Marc Anthony and Bon Jovi; each performer relied on Shure BETA58 handheld wireless microphones.

Luis Fonsi, awarded with Mejor Álbum Pop Vocal for his album El Viaje, sang a mix of his most famous songs using a Shure KSM9 microphone capsule.

The evening before the Latin Grammy Awards, the Latin Recording Academy celebrated the Person of the Year 2024 award, recognising Carlos Vives for his contributions to the music industry. During the ceremony, several artists covered some of his most popular songs paying tribute to his stellar career.

16 channels of Shure’s new digital in-ear wireless monitor system were deployed, providing the purest audio for engineers and artists alike.

Shure associates Javier Ocampo, senior manager, market development, and Jenn Liang-Chaboud, manager, artist & entertainment relations were present on the ground during the Person of the Year event and Latin Grammys 2024 show to support the technical teams.
