Bright Lites' Neil Dolman says he bought the motors for his hire stock from LTM because of the "Service, detailed product knowledge, friendliness and helpfulness" of the team at the Wirral based company.
Bright Lites supplies lighting and rigging equipment to venues, councils and other professional entertainment industry areas and applications. Dolman wanted a leading industry standard product that was ultimately 'hirable', and since the purchase, the Lodestars have been in constant use, he reports.
"Dealing with LTM was excellent" he says, "Their team are consistently good on the phone, and really friendly. It was great to also meet them face-to-face when I collected the motors in person from the warehouse on Merseyside. I would recommend LTM to anyone purchasing Lodestars"
The Direct Control Lodestar is a lower cost hoist from CM that is exactly the same size as a standard Lodestar, but operates with a power cable only. The hoists are compatible with other direct control motor controllers in circulation, and this is the Lodestar that is ideal when upgrading from other motors. The non-adjustable Lodestar protector prevents overloading and acts as a travel limiting device, and the chain hook and chain stop on the load chain prevent over-travel. It also has many other safety features.
Dolman is also looking into doing some Lodestar training when the opportunity arises. Projects on which his hoists have been utilized include Blackburn Arts, headlined by The Proclaimers and the Undertones and events at Newmarket and Epsom racecourses, starring artists like Status Quo, Will Young, Jools Holland et. al.
