No longer just a leading provider of professional lighting equipment to over 80 countries worldwide, in recent years A.C. has extended its vast technology stockholding in response to customers' demand for a single supplier who can meet all their production and project needs.
The name A.C. Entertainment Technologies therefore marks a new era for the company, and encapsulates the wide range of products, accessories, consumables and related services available through A.C.'s dedicated Lighting, Rigging, Audio and Video divisions.
In addition, A.C.'s related services include in-house cable and scrolls manufacturing to order, product training, servicing and after-sales support. Sister company, A.C. Special Projects, also provides bespoke technology solutions and installations, and has full access to the reseller's multi-million pound stockholding.
A.C.'s ongoing expansion programme includes recently increasing the warehouse capacity of its Leeds-based Northern sales office to nearly double its original capacity, to expand the choice of product lines available.
Managing director David Leggett commented: "After nearly 25 years of trading as A.C. Lighting, we no longer feel that the name is representative of the vast range of technology products and services we provide today. Our customers have the best of both worlds, enjoying the added convenience and economies of scale that come with purchasing everything from just one supplier, whilst still receiving specialist service from our dedicated product divisions. It's therefore the right time to change the A.C. name, to reposition the company and give all product divisions equal standing."
In line with the new A.C. name, the company website address has changed to www.ac-et.com, and the email address for general sales enquiries has changed to sales@ac-et.com.
The company has chosen the high-profile PLASA Show (7-10 September, Earls Court, London) as the perfect platform to launch the new name: they can be found at PLASA08 on stand F24.
