The owners, brothers George and Stelios Varouxakis recently began looking for a new sound system and decided on Adamson.
"It is quite remarkable that a club has operated under the same name, ownership and philosophy for 18 solid years" comments Alexios Ganas, the club's technical consultant, and installations technician at DNA. "The previous system installed was an equally old used ElectroVoice MT-2 which partially replaced a system which caught fire in 2001. I have serviced and fine tuned it for the past 10 years."
Earlier in the year Aris Issaris of DNA, and David Dohrmann (Adamson Applications Specialist based in Hamburg, Germany) travelled to execute & fine tune the long-awaited, brand new, state-of-the-art system installation.
The final set-up features eight SX18 (four clusters of two enclosures) as the main system. The SX 18 does comfortably cover the main area of the club (with a dispersion of 60° x 40° for each enclosure). The Adamson T21 Sub provides all the necessary low-end for the area. Four Point 8's are used as under-balcony-fills.
Adjacent to the main room is the Ellinadiko space, the smaller venue which generally features traditional Greek music. Here, the first Adamson M12's sold to a club installation, are being used as ceiling speakers. Two Renkus Heinz subs are used in conjunction with the M12's.
