The Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles stand featured 148sqm of Absen PL2.5 Pro
Germany - The International Automobile Exhibition (IAA), which took place in Hannover on 20-27 September, is the one of the world's most important trade fairs for mobility, transport and logistics. This year saw two of the show’s biggest names - DAF Trucks and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles - rely on Absen’s Polaris products to ensure that their respective booths packed a visual punch.
DAF used its stand to showcase 90 years of vehicular innovation. This was illustrated by the classic DAF A1600 from 1967 through to the future DAF CF Electric Innovation, while a prominent position was taken by DAF’s latest LF, CF and XF ranges. The stand was based around the theme, ‘Proud of our Heritage, Leading Today, Ready for the Future’.
Providing the striking 30m x 4m video wall for the 2,500 sqm DAF stand was Netherlands-based rental and sales company, Bazelmans AV, which made good use of the its newly acquired inventory of 120sqm of Absen PL2.9 rental LED screen; all of which was earmarked for the IAA show. As well as attracting visitors to the stand, the giant LED wall provided a powerful backdrop for press conferences like the one given by DAF Trucks’ president, Harry Wolters.
Project manager for Bazelmans AV, Aart Hakbraken commented: “The LED wall was the star of the show on the DAF stand and helped to leave a lasting impression on visitors. At Bazelmans AV we like to work with high-end premium brands to deliver the best visual performance and Absen’s Polaris series certainly fit the bill."
Elsewhere at the IAA was the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles stand, which featured 148sqm of Absen PL2.5 Pro. German-based event services provider, Gahrens + Batterman, was responsible for providing the six individual LED displays, with the smallest screen measuring 5.5sqm and the largest coming in at 60.5sqm. The line-up of LED screens perfectly complemented the design of the booth and was also used to support the launch of five new zero-emissions vehicles for the German manufacturer.
