Absen to host Virtual Production forum
- Details
Virtual Production allows filmmakers to shoot live-action footage within a pre-visualised virtual world, using 3D CGI modelling, high quality LED displays and precision camera tracking to make it all look as real as possible. The VP Forum promises fascinating insights into the world of virtual production, with an agenda covering a series of tech talks and panel discussions giving practical insights such as ‘Managing workflows and pipeline’ to ‘Changing the way we think about filmmaking: collaborative on-set experiences that allow filmmakers to think and work differently’. This one-day event has been created to showcase the potential that VP offers everyone in the content creation and film production industries, as well as studios and venues looking to enhance their facilities.
A highlight of the day will be the LIVE VP Experience: Pushing the boundaries of creativity: This case study from the VFX artists and technicians at Garden Studios, headed by Mark Pilborough-Skinner head of virtual production, will take attendees behind the scenes of a real production to explore the vision, how it progressed, the challenges and then experience the result.
Jess Golding, European brand and marketing director at Absen, explains: “Collaborating with Garden Studios and Pro Cam Take 2 has meant that we have been able to create an event that delivers the WOW factor that virtual production deserves. Working with our partners, we are excited to be able to showcase Absen LED, together with fantastically creative content, in the perfect VP setting.”
The VP Forum will give attendees a chance to learn about the world of opportunity that is fast developing, as well as experience some of the exciting boundary-pushing techniques and technologies emerging - including Absen’s latest generation LED solutions for the sector. After registration and coffees, the detailed agenda starts at 10am with Tech Talks, followed by panel discussions before the live-action case study takes place. Networking sessions and there will also be time to get hands-on with the tech and talk to the specialist VP and LED technicians. Registration is via http://uk.mikecrm.com/MWChQFM
