Opting to offer an exclusively on-line registration service for the first time, the organisers are highlighting their commitment to the show's on-going investment, despite these 'credit crunch' times.
Providing quick and streamlined registration on the day, pre-registered visitors will simply be able to scan their bar-coded email confirmation at designated 'badge stations' to receive their pass, cutting down on queuing time.
The QRS system being used will also reduce the show's carbon footprint. Without the need to print flyers and visitor promotional literature, the show will save a number of trees by switching to on-line registration.
The ABTT Theatre Show is looking forward to presenting a full house with over 100 companies exhibiting, which includes industry specialists across all aspects of technical theatre. New exhibitors include Naotek, Yamaha, SSE Hire, Red Square Audio, L'Acoustics, Terralec and Rigging Projects.
Show director Roger Fox comments, "Exhibitions are so important in our faceless world of E-commerce, as they offer an opportunity to get face to face with customers. We are very pleased to be holding our position with pre-registration numbers up and a broad base of exhibitors filling the halls to capacity. Shows are being severely affected by the current climate - the cancellation of the Motor Show being a prime example. By offering cost effective stand space, our exhibitors get valuable opportunities to meet existing and prospective end clients."
The ABTT Theatre Show takes place at London's Royal Horticultural Halls, June 10-11th 2009.
