Version 4.2 software adds a new Effects Processor which provides an easy path to the sophisticated effects that are possible with today’s moving lights. The Effects Processor provides a range of basic position movements as building blocks, with a set of modifiers to adjust the relationship between fixtures and the size, speed and shape of the resulting effect. Also included is a Fan Function that can be used on its own or in combination with the Effects Processor. Fan can be applied to Position, Colour or Beam and there are options to set how the fixtures are fanned in relation to each other. The Event 416 is equipped with two DMX outputs for a total of 1024 channels (512 channels on the 408) that can be easily patched to 20 automated fixtures, 80 colour scrollers and multiple dimmers or other DMX controllable devices. Both consoles are fitted as standard with a VDU output and keyboard input. As part of Version 4.2 the monitor screens have been completely updated to offer complete visual feedback and it’s now possible to call up one of a number of screens which provide instant views of overall output status, palette button labels, patch information, chase details and more.
