UK - AC-ET's Rigging division has been appointed as the authorised UK & Ireland reseller for the Kinesys range of motion control hardware and software solutions for the entertainment industry.

Recent high profile acts utilising Kinesys products on their shows include U2, Kings of Leon, Coldplay, Depeche Mode, Snow Patrol, Elton John, Massive Attack, Take That, The Prodigy and the Pussycat Dolls.

Under the agreement, AC-ET will provide full sales service and support for the Kinesys product range, including using its own equipment systems stock to offer demos on-site or at the company's in-house facilities. AC-ET will also provide authorised warranty repairs and servicing in the near future.

AC-ET recently showed the Kinesys Libra loadcell and Elevation 1+ motion control systems at PLASA Focus. The Libra is a fully featured digital loadcell system utilising a load measuring shackle and a powerful and easy to use software programme for displaying suspended loads in a variety of formats. The Elevation 1+ motion control system transforms an electric chain hoist into a fully functional variable speed device offering precise positioning and speed control at the touch of a button. AC-ET recently supplied an Elevation 1+ system to leading Newcastle-based theatre venue, Northern Stage Theatrical Productions, to enable accurate pre-programmed scenery moves during show productions such as Peter Pan.

AC-ET will be showing a range of Kinesys products again at the upcoming ABTT Theatre Show.

Adam Beaumont, sales manager of AC-ET's Rigging division, comments, "We're delighted to be selected by Kinesys to represent their innovative product range in the UK and Ireland. The Elevation 1+ in particular is one of the most sophisticated yet easy to use motion control systems on the market. The Kinesys brand is a natural fit with our portfolio of other leading rigging brands and further extends the choice of solutions we can offer."
