USA - Adamson Systems Engineering has expanded their Y-Axis Partner Network in the United States with the addition of BP (Bishop Petty) Lighting Sound & Video, based in San Antonio, Texas. Founded in 1990, BP Lighting also provides sales of entertainment lighting, sound and video equipment as well as expendables and accessories for installations. They work out of a 10,000sq.ft location with 12 full time employees and various freelancers.

After meticulous research into line arrays, they narrowed down their choices to a few, "We were amazed at the amount of detailed information available to us that explained the inherent differences of a line array," says Frank Burton, vice president / sales / production. "The calculations were solid and we followed that up by listening to various line arrays and were sold on the sonic clarity of the speakers as well as the ease of set up."

The decision for purchasing Adamson came after a demo which was organised to coincide with the Delirious tour in Texas. The demo system consisted of 12 Y10s, six T-21 Subs and four CB1s. They were thoroughly impressed, particularly by the T21s. Frank Burton vice president and head of production at BP Lighting says: "The T-21 is not comparable to anything I've ever heard. It is hands down the most incredible subwoofer on the market today."

To ensure that their system would have the same pristine audio quality as the demo system, they opted to purchase the whole package, including processors and amplifiers. They took delivery of 12 Y10s and six T-21 subs paired up with eight fP6400 and four fP3400 Lab.gruppen amplifiers. The system was shipped complete with XTA's DP424's processors, standard Adamson Cable breakouts, and Adamson AC panels for a fully cross rentable turnkey solutions package.

Since purchasing the system, BP Lighting, Sound & Video hit the road and have already used it in numerous venues including Hillsong United, for artists such as Bo Diddley, Celtic Frost, Isaac Hayes and more.

BP Lighting, Sound & Video started out as a lighting company and grew over the years into a full production house. When asked about future expansion, Frank Burton says: "Our T-21 subs are also available for demolition projects!"
