“This has been a great journey with a lot of hard work from many people and we were excited about the turnout, which was well over 200,” stated John Lopez, international sales manager for Elation Professional and Acclaim Lighting. “Our guests were really impressed and honoured to be invited. This new location really allows our customers in Mexico and Central America to be part of the ADJ Group family.”
In attendance were dealers and rental partners from across the region, as well as representatives from the ADJ Group headquarters in Los Angeles, including ADJ Group president Toby Velazquez and international sales manager for ADJ, Global Truss and American Audio Ernesto Velazquez, as well as Lopez. “We are proud to be in Mexico directly for the first time as a group of companies,” Group president Toby Velazquez said. “We have an incredible team in Mexico that shares the same philosophies as our entire group. Our goal is to provide our customers with the best service, training, state-of-the-art showroom and products available.”
Guests enjoyed a catered lunch of local specialties while Ernesto Velazquez showcased the strong connection between the new facility in Mexico with the other ADJ Group facilities in Los Angeles (HQ), Miami and The Netherlands (European HQ). “Someone mentioned to me that there hadn’t been any lighting company in all of Mexico who had brought to Mexico what is common in the U.S., Europe and Asia,” Lopez shares. “But here we’re doing it with top level facilities. There is a world-class lighting showroom similar to that in our Los Angeles HQ, a large warehousing area, QC, on-site service department and in-house sales. This is a real commitment to the market.”
The Mexican office staff of sales and service reps, warehouse members and administrators was all introduced, including director Abraham Levit who heads the facility. Guests were then invited into the show room to see two stunning light shows - an Elation light show programmed by Elation headquarter LD Shawn Butcher, and an ADJ light show programmed by ADJ headquarter LD Edgar Gonzalez.
“We started at noon and went until 7:00pm, but even then there were some who didn’t want to leave,” Lopez concluded after a busy day. “It was a great day and an excellent way to kick off our new Mexican office.”
