As in the last years, there will be two trainings at AFMG's Berlin headquarters in spring and fall. International dates will take place in Dubai, accompanying the PALM fair and in Wroclaw (Breslau), Poland. Again, these EASE users seminars will be supplemented by a Sound System Design seminar aimed at audio consultants. In 2012 this seminar will cover the topics of digitally steerable loudspeakers as well as audio networks.
Additionally, AFMG will be offering a two-day course for professionals and loudspeaker manufacturers addressing the topic of loudspeaker data acquisition and evaluation with EASE SpeakerLab and its usage for GLL data generation e.g. for line arrays.
All seminars are intended for an international audience of consultants, engineers, system integrators and other audio and acoustics professionals and will be held in English. The Berlin and Dubai seminars will be held by graduate engineer Emad El-Saghir, who has been inspiring and surprising his students with his comprehensive knowledge gained as an acoustician and consultant in numerous renowned projects in Europe and the Middle East.
EASE seminars are split into two levels. Each level can be booked separately. Level 1 is directed at entry-level users of EASE and gives a highly compressed, three-day introduction into the fundamentals of acoustical modeling and the usage of EASE. Participants will be able to effectively accomplish own projects with EASE or EASE JR. Level 2 builds upon the knowledge gained in the first level. Users who would like to attend only Level 2 should have sufficient experience with EASE. Level 2 will cover the theory of GLL loudspeaker data, simulating line arrays and other complex sources. It will also compare and evaluate different simulation approaches like raytracing and AURA and take participants all the way up to binaural auralizations.
