The new features in EASE 4.3, aimed at sound system designers, room acousticians and architects, will be discussed in the Friday seminar, along with aspects of speech intelligibility theory, measurement and modeling. It will focus on the various methods EASE 4.3 uses to predict STI in accordance with IEC 60268-16 - and their advantages and limitations.
The SysTune seminar will be devoted to the v1.1 upgrade for EASERA SysTune, AFMG's live sound measurement software.
The new version will provide a set of major additions, including new DSP Plug-In functions supported by manufacturers such as Renkus-Heinz, Linea Research, Tannoy, Turbosound, FZ Audio, Electro-Voice, Salzbrenner StageTec, FourAudio and Harvey Audio. A new Virtual EQ function is among several major performance enhancements, along with improved handling of axis settings and default view limits and better results for music and speech signals. Impedance and distortion measurement functions, offline evaluation of recorded measurement data and more data processing options will be available in the new Pro version of SysTune, also introduced at InfoComm.
The upgrade follows the announcement at ProLight&Sound 2009 that Salzbrenner Stagetec is to be the world's first console manufacturer to host EASERA SysTune, making it available to AURUS customers as a seamless solution integrated into the mixing console's work surface. Any corrections necessary can be made conveniently from the FOH position using the SysTune interface, acting on the integrated NEXUS audio network DSPs.
