Light4Brands deployed several lighting balloons for the 20th edition of the Festival de Cine de Lima
Peru - Light4Brands, the exclusive dealer of Airstar lighting solutions in Peru, deployed several lighting balloons for the 20th edition of the Festival de Cine de Lima, which took place at the Gran Teatro Nacional del Peru from 5-13 August 2016.

For the fourth time in a row, Light4Brands (L4B) was selected to manage the lighting for the festival red carpet. The Airstar lighting inventory was made up of two 90cm wide Crystal balloons, flanked on both corners of the theatre building and a pair of three-metre-high air ventilated Towair cylinder towers, placed on the top of the stairs to welcome the lucky few during the show nights. To complete the lighting of the event, an impressive three-metre-wide, helium inflated, Lunix LED balloon was anchored and proudly displayed the event logo 15 metres high.

The Lima Film Festival is the most important cinema event in the country and in Latin America. Many international producers, directors, lighting directors and actors attend the event each year.

According to L4B managing director Ernesto Perales, it is indeed an event not to be missed: "We are very proud to be part of such a prestigious event, which is also an amazing opportunity for us to display the French savoir-faire of Airstar. Their lighting balloons are the solution of choice for the cinema and broadcast industries, so it is only natural to find them on the red carpet amongst the stars of the big screen."

Airstar lighting balloons have already been used for noted movies such as Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight Rises and James Cameron's Titanic, as well as successful series including The Mentalist, The Walking Dead and The Office.

Despite strong winds which made for a challenging set up, the L4B team installed the products in record time. Xavier Ponson, export manager at Airstar was however confident: "We have been working with L4B for eight years now, and the product and market knowledge they have is second to none."

If the relationship between Airstar and L4B started with event projects, today the lighting solutions are being used for various projects across the country, including highway accident prevention in the summer, airport runway renovation works as well as public lighting.
