Like the AK4114, it features a Q-subcode buffer for audio CD, built-in 40-bit channel status buffer and incorporates a non-PCM detection function for identifying DTS-CD data. Compared with the AK4112B, the AK4113 increases the number of sampling rates that can be detected from seven to ten and the microcontroller interface supports 400 kHz I2S as well as the four-wire type.
The AK4113 package has the same dimensions as the AK4112B and is pin-compatible. Registers have been increased to conform to the AK4114, giving the AK4113 wide system versatility. Because it meets both consumer and professional standards, the AK4113 has plenty of functions for interfacing with studio equipment.
The AK4113 comes in a 30-pin VSOP package. Evaluation boards and samples are available now.
