Alan March.
UK - Alan March has joined Sennheiser UK as Business Development Specialist after twenty-one years in various roles at HW International and Shure Distribution UK. Having spent his years in the Pro Audio field working in marketing, sales and engineering roles, March arrives at Sennheiser UK with a wealth of experience and a broad knowledge of the industry.

"Coming to Sennheiser UK is a tremendous opportunity," he explains. "The role of Business Development Specialist is a new position and that excites me. Through the years I've done many different things ¬ sales, marketing and most recently applications ¬so I feel I'm very much suited to the role. This is a chance for me to move on and create something new, which is very appealing."

"My role at Sennheiser will be to develop business, particularly with regard to the Pro and Install side, which will, no doubt, involve all manner of activities. Naturally, I'll be going out speaking to end-users and looking at how to develop new, as well as existing business, in the longer term. I'll also be looking at Sennheiser's existing portfolio, along with existing Sennheiser UK staff, in terms of possibly adding new products and brands for distribution in the future. In this way I am looking to contribute on as many levels as possible to assist in driving the Company forward."

Phil Massey, general manager of Sennheiser UK, is delighted with the appointment, saying: "We're very pleased to have someone with Alan's skills and professional approach joining the team. His reputation within the industry is exceptional and I know he will contribute much to our already successful Professional and Installed Sound Business Areas, and will help us to achieve even greater success in the coming years."

In addition to his new position at Sennheiser UK March will be continuing his role as spokesman for the British Entertainment Industry Radio Group, BEIRG, working for the benefit of all those who use radio spectrum.

"For the past three years I've been heavily involved in the battle to retain radio frequency availability for the entertainment industry," explains March. "I'm still going to be involved in BEIRG - without a doubt. Having spoken to Phil Massey and John Steven at Sennheiser UK extensively on the subject, we all agreed that the outcome of this debate has the potential to affect everybody in the industry if we don't obtain a satisfactory solution."
