The Netherlands - Playing on home-turf, Alcons Audio will be exhibiting its pro-ribbon sound systems at the forthcoming Integrated Systems Europe show in Amsterdam. For the first time, Alcons will display its different product groups at the same time: The general product line and the AV / Digital Cinema product line.

The main focus will be on two recently introduced products: The CR1 ultra-compact AV/Digital Cinema sound system. The 3-way sound system consists of a 12" side-vented woofer, 6.5" vented mid-range driver and RBN401 pro-ribbon driver packed in a 18cm/7". ultra-shallow MDF enclosure. It is designed to provide medium output, high quality A/V sound reproduction, for cinema theatres, board-rooms, home theatres and residential sound systems.

The other highlighted product is the LR7 micro pro-ribbon line-array, latest and smallest member of Alcons' pro-ribbon line-arrays. Featuring a single 6.5" woofer and the Alcons RBN401 4" pro-ribbon driver in a 15-degree vertical projection configuration. The 16 ohms impedance and a choice of 90-degree or 120-degree horizontal projection, makes the LR7 ideal for A/V projects, where very compact form factor with perfect line-array throw and imaging are required.

Also featured product is the QR36 pro-ribbon column array system. The series has been designed to obtain excellent coverage and ultimate intelligibility over longer distances in "acoustically challenging" environments. Applications include churches, reverberant halls, and any application where beam-steering solutions doesn't bring the desired SPL and frequency response.
