Back row (L-R): Miles Brooke, David Morbey, Mark Perrins. Front (L-R): Debbie Dunlop, Jasmijn Seelen.
UK - The return of David Morbey to D&M Professional Europe has led to a number of new appointments being confirmed, as general manager Mark Perrins reshuffles his 'cabinet'. Explaining the rationale, Mark states, "When the Denon and Marantz operations merged last year there wasn't a great deal of movement in personnel. But with the benefit of a year's trading behind us there is now the opportunity to restructure on a more defined European basis."

This has been influenced by the centralizing of all stock within Germany, the appointment of four country managers (each with their own reps), the newly-created position of a German-based European service co-ordinator and a product planner - all of which are central to the strategic development.

Crucial to the change in the UK is the appointment of David Morbey to the new position of product manager - where he takes on responsibility for product creation and development alongside pan-European application marketing and technical support application marketing and technical support. Morbey earlier worked for seven years with the former Denon operation before briefly moving into the hi-fi industry with API.

Two new sales positions have also been created. Heading the team is Miles Brooke, who is promoted to the role of UK sales manager, D&M Pro Products. Reporting to him are experienced UK sales administrator, Debbie Dunlop - who previously worked in Denon's consumer division - and European sales administrator Jasmijn Seelen. Formerly with Logitec, where she handled export sales, Seelen will take responsibility for the European markets. David Atkinson officially becomes European marketing and communications manager.

Perrins anticipates that the new-look D&M Pro team will make a major impact. "This move is well timed, and the biggest change will be to apportion a lot more responsibility. Relocating to Longford has given us the opportunity to fill two key vacancies with dedicated staff and enable us to reflect all aspects of the business. Above all it indicates that D&M Professional has grown to become a much larger contributor to the overall D&M operation in Europe, and is expanding its direct infrastructure to accommodate the increase in business."
