The Alterlite team with the Etoiles du SIEL award for Darklight's Gantom iQ
France - One year after its foundation, the French distribution company, Alterlite, has exhibited for the first time at SIEL with spectacular results. No less than three of its product lines received Etoiles du SIEL Awards at the annual tradeshow in Paris last week.

"We were extremely pleased to see three of the manufacturers we represent receive these Awards," states CEO Lionel Garraud. "Robert Juliat, Chromlech and Darklight are prime examples of the innovative, well informed industry leaders we chose to deal with. We see this as confirmation that we made the right choices in the products we offer and could not have asked for more from our first exhibition as a new company."

Alterlite was established to provide the French architainment and retail markets with alternative lighting products of the highest quality. Its team has expanded rapidly over the first year to include Sales Director, Christian Paillard and Sales Rep, Stéphane Robin who, along with Garraud, bring over 25 years of worldwide market experience to the company. Garraud and Paillard have a long pedigree in the lighting industry having spent a total of over 13 years at Robert Juliat as sales director and sales manager for France respectively.

"Alterlite specialises primarily in LED lighting fixtures and controllers and we take care to choose those that stand out from the competition by virtue of their innovative technology and excellent manufacturing quality," affirms Garraud.

The award-winning products distributed by Alterlite are drawn from all areas of the company's market spectrum:

Darklight's Gantom iQ is billed as the smallest focusable gobo projector in existence and projects metal, glass or plastic gobos. Aimed at retail and museum installations and themed entertainment, it is also small enough to be embedded in theatrical or television scenery.

Gantom iQ forms part of a range of compact fixtures which includes Gantom DMX, a 3W LED flood with a choice of RGBW or dynamic white LED sources and flicker-free dimmer.

Chromlech's Elidy is the world's first LED matrix fixture capable of projecting volumetric graphics and has been designed for dynamic lighting on spectaculars, television and live music events, as well as retail and display purposes.

Elidy is composed of blocks of 5 x 5 very high power warm white LEDs with specific optics that generate extremely narrow beams that far exceed the intensity of LED screens. These can be assembled in a variety of shapes or walls and its appearance customised using innovative magnetic covers. Elidy exhibits astonishing dimming capability over its complete dimming range and can be controlled via DMX or ArtNet.

Robert Juliat received the Etoile du SIEL for its novel idea of Creative Concept Light which it presented at the show following the completion of its Tibo range of lanterns. Tibo offers a 'mix and match' choice of lightsource (LED, tungsten halogen or discharge), lens type (Fresnel or profile) and body colour and a new option of variable white LED source. The 'Concept' is that each choice is like a separate note in a symphony which can be combined as the designer requires to suit any application. This extremely versatile concept is backed by the same impeccable attention to bodywork and optical system that is present in every Robert Juliat fixture.

Alterlite is the official Robert Juliat partner for Greater Paris, Normandy and Champagne region as well as the exclusive distributor of Chromlech, CLS, Core, GDS, Galaxia, Leaderlight, I-Pix and Prism within France.

Alterlite is also European master distributors of Darklight and, as such, is currently seeking partners in every European country.
