The group, described as "pop alchemists" consists of lyricist and singer Aluna Francis and producer George Reid. The duo has been bringing their compilation of pop and electronic sounds to the likes of the Firefly Festival and Lollapalooza, while simultaneously gearing up for their forthcoming album, I Remember. DJ Snake's remix of their song, I Know You Like It proved to be a massive success and skyrocketed to the top of the charts as one of the world's most streamed songs of all time.
Working with lighting designer Eric Baum, Bandit provided a lighting package that included GLP Impressions, GLP Spot Ones, and Bandit's exclusive LED GRNLite Batten. Baum created a dynamic design using Elation PixelLine 40 bars, giving AlunaGeorge an effective backdrop for focused looks that highlighted the band's tight synth, bright melodies and clipped vocals.
"Eric's design was very adaptable to the diversity of venues creating the biggest looks for AlunaGeorge," said Bandit's client representative Shawn Lear. "It's great working with Eric; he is very prepared and concise in wants and has the know how to make it happen, not only as the LD, but also getting the system loaded in, up and running and ready to do a show later that evening.
Following the summer tour with Bandit, AlunaGeorge headed overseas to Europe but returns to North America to join Sia on tour prior to the release of I Remember on 16 September.
