The lighting designer Matthias Frank, the show light operator Matthias Schöffmann, the white light operator and MA system technician Jürgen Erntl and the media server manager Stefan Kürzel counted - among other things - on two grandMA2 light consoles, a grandMA2 fader wing, an MA Network Processing Unit (NPU) and 80 Clay Paky Sharpys.
Matthias Frank commented on his use of the MA system, "It was critical in this production for more than one operator to work in a network. However only the systems needed for the console were visible thanks to its multi-user function. Our choice was also determined by the grandMA2's effects engine function, which allowed us to program the show quickly and effectively.
"Since the theatre stage looks like a box, I wanted to exploit the features of the venue. That's why I called the project 'Jack in the Box'. For the nine shows (Toten Hosen, Sportfreunde Stiller, Christina Stürmer, Lukas Plöchl, etc.), I wanted to impress everyone with fast lights with sharply defined beams. So our choice fell on Clay Paky Sharpys."
Thomas Wessely was in charge of technical project development. Lightpower Austria provided the MA equipment.
