Amate introduces compact line array
- Details
In common with all NÍTID systems, these employ the latest digital amplification and signal processing technologies, in symbiosis with advanced electroacoustic research and design, to achieve exceptional levels of performance and versatility from compact speaker systems.
The N208 and N18W / N218W systems offer premium performance from a compact line array, together with new standards of operational versatility and ease of setup and use, that includes optimised ‘plug & play’ power and system control presets for virtually instantaneous operation, says the company. Economies of scale in developing the system on a well-proven acoustic design, make it possible to bring the NÍTID line array, with all of these powerful operational advantages, to market at very competitive price point.
Announcing the launch of the NÍTID compact line arrays systems, vice president and chief technical officer Joan Amate, said, “Our track record in developing successful, innovative line arrays, provides the opportunity to integrate proven designs and electroacoustic components with the enhanced control possibilities offered by the latest digital processing technologies. The result is that the Nítid line array is an exceptionally price competitive offering; and its advanced performance and system capabilities make it a unique proposition in the market.”
N208 arrays are configured in coupled pairs of active and passive cabinets, in a proven high efficiency control system developed in the company’s top of the range X210 line array; integrated 3rd generation 1500 W Class D amplification and DSP control in the active cabinet controlling both units. Custom rigging design and a wide range of optimized DSP control presets enable the near instantaneous deployment of the N208.
The NÍTID N18W and N218W are high power compact subwoofers, matched for use with the N208. Direct radiating 18” LF drivers – one in the N18W and two in the N218W – are front-loaded in bass-reflex tuned enclosures with laminar ports.
All cabinets incorporate ergonomically designed and located handles for exceptionally easy handling. A range of accessories allow for easy flying and stacking of the N208, while the N18W features M6 rigging points and a M20 plate socket top side for full range enclosure coupling, and the N218W a M10 plate socket.
“NÍTID is the culmination of our current development work in DSP, electroacoustic engineering and cabinet design; a project that we have been researching, designing and developing during the last two years,” continues Joan.
