UK - APB Dynasonics will be exhibiting at PLASA this year on the stand of its newly appointed UK and Eire distributor - Resolution Distribution (part of KV2Audio in the UK).

APB DynaSonics is an audio manufacturing company based in Totowa, New Jersey with the mission to design and build high performance analogue live performance mixing consoles offering superior sound quality in fixed and touring applications.

Chuck Augustowski, John Petrucelli and Taz Bhogal, leading audio designers with over 65 years of combined experience, founded APB in 2004 to bring analogue consoles to the next generation of development. Their expertise has produced innovative products such as the Spectra-C and Spectra-T consoles, and MixSwitch, all designed and manufactured in the United States.

On the stand will be the Spectra-Ti, a high performance analogue VCA console available with 24, 32, 40, 48 and 56 mono input channels, all sizes featuring four additional stereo line-input channels.

Spectra Ti consoles include VCA control on inputs and outputs, mono/stereo/3-speaker LCR monitoring, and inserts on all primary outputs, including the Auxes and Matrixes. The Master VCA output fader can simultaneously control the levels of Left, Right, Centre, Mono and any of the four Matrix outputs.

The new ProRack-House and ProRack-Monitor mixers incorporate "a wealth of features, 16 input channels and exceptional performance in 10 RU". The chassis design features an adjustable connector assembly that freely rotates and can be set to three different angles relative to the front panel. This allows the input and output jacks to be properly positioned whether the mixers are mounted in a vertical rack, slant rack or used on a desk top.

The ProRack's audio design is based on APB'sSpectra Series consoles. Internal construction is based upon a passive mother board and multiple active daughter boards. The active electronics of a single input channel is designed onto two field-replaceable electronics modules. The power supply is a plug-in assembly that can be easily field-replaced by removing six screws.

MixSwitch is a multi-channel audio switching and combining system that occupies only 1U of rack space. Typical applications when in Switch mode include selecting between the primary console (digital or analogue) and backup console, or between headline and opening act consoles in concert/presentation situations. When in SUM mode, MixSwitch allows for the simultaneous use of both consoles (equally mixed). In club applications, selection between FOH and DJ mixers into a common audio system can easily be performed. Each MixSwitch unit can control up to four sets of line-level audio signals. Slave units can be added to jointly control additional sets of signals.
