Germany - Having announced the distribution partnership with Audio-Technica Germany at ProLight & Sound in Frankfurt in April, APG has confirmed the sale of the first Uniline compact line array system in Germany. Full service production company, Coco Sound, based in Freiburg in southern Germany has just taken delivery of a full Uniline system comprising 12 UL210 full-range three-way line array enclosures and six TB118 subwoofers.

Coco Sound was established in 1986 by sound engineers Hans-Georg 'Hage' Romberg and Ellen Muschal who still run the company today, and is now one of the leading audio, lighting, staging and conferencing production service providers in Freiburg region.

"We chose the Uniline system from APG for a number of reasons," says Romberg. "First, it's a speaker system that really plays in the premier league - it measures favourably against any other big-name system on the market. Secondly, we really appreciate APG's development philosophy regarding coaxial technology. They have dared to push the boat out with excellent results. From a practical point of view, the system is incredibly quick and easy to set up, as well as being robust which is very important for us; and finally, the relationship that we have developed with Audio-Technica and APG is excellent."

APG's head of international sales and marketing, Xavier Pion, adds, "We couldn't have hoped for a better first customer for Uniline in Germany than Coco Sound. This is a truly professional, well-established and respected company that has the competence, the motivation and the projects that go with such an investment. Furthermore, it's a real pleasure to work with such nice people.

"The Coco Sound sale is the first step of APG's strategy for developing Uniline in Germany," he continued, "and it also reinforces the fact that Audio-Technica was absolutely the right choice for us as a distribution partner in Germany."
