Given the rather 'bijou' dimensions of both the room and the stage, the venue required a physically unobtrusive system that would nevertheless deliver professional results. As a spokesman for l'Improviste pointed out, "If we want to attract professional musicians and discerning audiences, we have to be prepared to invest in professional equipment that delivers a quality result. This is why we turned to a company like Octalino who specialize in providing AV systems for the events market as well as handling AV installation of all sizes."
Octalino decided on a system based around APG DX12 compact multipurpose monitor speakers, and the ultra compact, wide dispersion MX1 loudspeaker from APG's Micro Axial range.
"We were looking for a compact, high quality audio solution that could handle a concert-style application," explained Octalino's Guillaume Hunot. "In working with APG we were able to offer a package comprising two DX12s for the main PA complemented by six MX1 delays throughout the room for perfect, homogenous coverage throughout the room.
"The stage is equipped with a further four DX12s acting as stage monitors. Combined with APG's dedicated processors and Lab.gruppen amplification, we have a scalable solution that can cater for a variety of different needs."
