This appointment consolidates TC Group's relationship with the Australian distribution company, who have enjoyed great success with Tannoy since taking on the loudspeaker brand in 2010. From 1 February next year, APG will now also offer the amplification and processing technology from Lab.gruppen and Lake to customers in the region.
Andrzej Sosna, CEO of Install and Tour for TC Group, said, "After building up a very successful relationship with APG over a number of years through Tannoy, we are delighted that we can now extend that to TC Group's other touring and install brands. This appointment will consolidate a strong partnership that I am sure will have a very positive effect on the growth of Lab.gruppen and Lake in Australia and New Zealand, as well as giving APG the opportunity to offer optimised systems solutions to market, solutions that feature a combination of these complementary technologies."
Ken Dwyer, managing director of APG, said, "We are delighted to be able to strengthen our relationship with TC Group, one of the audio industry's most innovative companies. Our recent decision to restructure APG and focus 100% on the commercial installation and pro audio markets sees us ideally positioned to take on the distribution and support of Lab.gruppen and Lake in our region."
Miguel Hadelich, TC Group's VP of sales for install and tour, said, "We have been impressed by the team at APG since they took on distribution of Tannoy Professional in 2010. Their relaunch of one of our industry's most iconic brands has seen strong sales growth, and the development of a warm and co-operative relationship between our companies. I am confident that APG has the skills and resources to support the Lab.gruppen and Lake brands in a way that reflects the technical excellence and heritage that is invested into every product."
In announcing this new partnership, Hadelich acknowledged the role played by Hills SVL in recent years. "We thank the staff and management of Hills SVL for their support of Lab.gruppen and Lake in the past, and extend our best wishes for the future."
