The first recipients of the Fellowships are:
Chris Blackwell - founder of Island Records, Bob Marley producer and introducer of reggae to the mainstream music public.
Sean Davies - now a well-known audio consultant specialising in studio design, the master of vinyl mastering and audio historian.
Alan Parsons - performer and producer who not only recorded Dark Side of the Moon, but also created the standard test tape for recording studios.
Keith Grant - an engineer whose long association with Olympic Studios influenced hundreds of recordings by iconic artists such as Dusty Springfield, the Troggs, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and the Who.
Glyn Johns - the sound master of recordings by the Eagles, Led Zeppelin, the Clash, Eric Clapton and the Beatles to name only a few.
Ken Townsend - EMI's technical wizard responsible for many of the audio techniques introduced by the Beatles and used on every recording today.
APRS chairman, David Hamilton-Smith, says: "As this is the Association's 60th Anniversary year, we wanted to arrange a special event where people from all areas of the audio industry can get together and celebrate. It will provide an opportunity to mingle with the movers and shakers of the audio world, and we can expect some great speeches from some of our industry's foremost figures. We're all looking forward to a memorable afternoon."
