The award for best 'Outstanding event using a temporary venue / structure' was judged by a panel of international event professionals, who commended the innovation and high standards achieved at the inaugural Bahrain International Airshow 2010.
FIL appointed Arena Lea (an Arena Group partnership with Lea International) to design and construct the 5-star facility for the world's first guest invitational VIP aerospace trade exhibition with designated public areas on behalf of the organisers, the Civil Aviation Affairs, Kingdom of Bahrain (CAA).
The award presented by 'Sourceme' was collected by Arena Structures managing director Grahame Muir and Harlequin Arena CEO Paul Berger at the gala dinner attended by over 600 guests in the Joharah Ballroom.
Grahame Muir says, "We are proud to receive this award on behalf on a superbly talented team of international event professionals who worked very closely with to create a new look international airshow. It reflects the trust placed by the CAA and FIL in the Arena Group and highlights the level of expertise Arena Lea and Harlequin Arena now offer the Middle East region. The 2010 Bahrain International Airshow raised the bar with regards to what can be achieved with structures to create a unique event venue and we are looking forward to continuing that trend on the 2012 and 2014 Bahrain International Airshows."
