EN54 compliance is vitally important in today's commercial audio and installation business. With some companies giving up and moving out of the market because of the high cost of certification, ATEÏS has taken the opportunity to invest and ensure its products comply with the mandatory European standard for the compliance of components and housings.
ATEÏS will have over 30 models of loudspeaker on display during Prolight + Sound, all complying with EN54-24, which covers passive speakers. Compliance to EN54-16, covering control and indicating equipment, has been applied for the user interface on ATEÏS ' DIVA8G2 VA router and its slave units, which will secure this product in the compact PA/VA system market.
The recently released IDA8C, plus slaves, is EN54 approved and will have a central role on the booth during the show. This is the third generation of ATEÏS ' modular PA/VA system and is designed for installations demanding high standards for IP and/or fibre optic networking.
New at this year's Frankfurt is the DPAfour250 Class D amplifier. Complying with EN54, the DPAfour250 is a true 4x250W or 2x500W unit running into 100V and low-impedance outputs. It is designed to work with both the DIVA8 and IDA8.
On the paging console front the CD16 is designed to be wall-mounted for remote security paging applications. It is meets individual national standards as well as EN54.
SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is the general standard for systems and products based on IP networking and ATEÏS is moving steadily into this technology. This year it is showing the Terracom product range, which provides SIP media conversion and can be built up into full desktop paging systems.
