UK - Commercial audio specialist in public address and voice alarm systems, Ateis UK is set to exhibit at PLASA for the first time (7-10 September, Earls Court, London).

Ateis UK is introducing a number of new additions to its internationally acclaimed range, and is inviting designers, engineers, installers and rental specialists to visit their stand and learn more about Ateis's potential across all commercial, ecclesiastical, auditoria and stadia application environments.

Expanding the potential of its Messenger range of active line array loudspeakers, which are recognised for the high quality speech intelligibility, the new steerable Bass Array enables the low frequencies to be carried over a greater distance. Whilst minimising signal deviation (2dB within 100m), it is fully steerable and is self powered to provide maximum clarity in controlled areas, say Ateis.

The Messenger range boasts a patented algorithmic technique and its eponymous 'Linear-Spacing', which facilitates simple installation and eliminates the need for lobe fine-tuning. Plus it has been designed for use in line safety applications where its in-built battery back-up is a critical feature. All Messenger cabinets feature ambient noise sensing capabilities to help overcome and balance challenging acoustic environments.

Launching the second generation UAP fully programmable DSP Audio Matrix - the UAPg2 - Ateis UK is building on the first generation UAP's success, providing powerful processing capabilities for the most demanding application environments. UAPg2 features an increased sampling rate of 96kHz coupled with a SHARC 32-bit -266 MHz DSP processor, which provides users with superior sound quality and range than before, the company says.

The UAPg2 also offers teleconferencing capabilities for up to 16 people per unit. A total of 12 units can be linked together. It also features an improved message memory of up to 20 minutes and a switching matrix functionality.

Ateis UK has also announced its appointment as the sole UK distributor for Soundsphere's range of omnidirectional loudspeakers, which have set a precedent since 1976 as "the market leader in hemispherical dispersion". Ateis will optimise this new partnership at PLASA08.
